About the CRSO

The University of Kentucky Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO) was founded in 2019. Since then, the CRSO team has worked to provide administrative support to teams conducting NIH defined clinical trials and clinical research utilizing UKHC services and space.  The CRSO provides a number of software solutions for clinical trial management, financial management support, Medicare Analysis and other administrative support to reduce the administrative burden of running clinical trials.  

The Clinical Research Support Office assists investigators, study teams and University support offices to facilitate compliance, cost reimbursement, research participant health care billing and data management for NIH defined clinical trials and clinical research utilizing UKHC services or facilities through the development of processes, implementation and administration of systems and software integrations. The CRSO is a hub linking research teams to the UK HealthCare system and all campus clinical trial support offices.

To support and advance the mission of the University, the CRSO strives to develop, expand and strengthen the clinical research activities of the institution.  The CRSO works to educate and support study teams through the clinical trial process to improve the health of the Commonwealth of Kentucky through cutting edge research. 

The CRSO would not exist without the generous support of the Office of the Vice President for Research and UKHC. We also maintain close, strategic partnerships with the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and the University of Kentucky Center for Clinical and Translational Science.
