Community driven research for long-term health.

The East Palestine Train Derailment Health Research Program is a team of researchers from the University of Kentucky, University of Pittsburgh, and Yale University.  The goal of the program is to assess the long-term health of individuals and families, and identify the pathway of chemicals from derailment into local water sources.

The health research study is open to anyone who:

  • lived in East Palestine, Ohio, or the surrounding area, including Western Pennsylvania, when the derailment occurred - and is age 8 or older

  • was a worker or volunteer who responded to the derailment or clean-up efforts

  • lived in Cambridge, Ohio, or the surrounding area since 2023 and is age 8 or older

I want to participate.
