Brenna Byrd

Dr. Brenna Reinhart Byrd (Ph.D., University of California, Los Angeles) is Associate Professor of German and the Director of Beginning German at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, where she teaches courses on language pedagogy, linguistics, Indo-European Studies, Germanic Mythology, Old Norse, and German language and identity. Her current research project is focused on using immersive digital gaming to increase student motivation and literacy skills in the language classroom.
