James M. Joyce
James is an MA/PhD Student at the University of Louisville in Applied Sociology. They received their BS in Sociology from the University of Louisville in 2020 and were an original student of the interdisciplinary BA in Sustainability program at UofL, housed in the Department of Urban and Public Affairs. James is hoping to find and share local lifestyles that sustain the collective future of a more equitable planet through mixed methods around queer and traditional home-making; radical inclusivity; youth climate activism and mobile communities. They are currently planning for a thesis project using qualitative content analysis to clarify aspects of the racial and social construction of health and safety in North American societies.
