Tayib Bah

Tayib Bah a Ph.D. Candidate here at UK's Department of Geography where he is training as an environmental geographer, sustainability, climate change, food system expert and political ecologist. His research draws from frameworks in environmental geography, political ecology, environmental justice, decoloniality, agrarian studies and development studies to explore the governance dimensions of environmental sustainability, climate change adaptation, sustainable food systems. As a scholar, Mr. Bah seek to produce knowledge showing how the state and associated power structures shape and are shaped by nature, and why these matters for social and environmental justice struggles. Tayib has years fieldwork experience in West Africa, particularly The Gambia. His Research experience also features projects in Kentucky.
