Emily Bergeron
Dr. Emily Bergeron is an Associate Professor in the Department of Historic Preservation, where she serves as the Director of Graduate Studies and the Online Program Coordinator. She teaches courses in preservation and environmental law, planning, ethics, and sustainable development. The core of Dr. Bergeron's research revolves around critical areas, including environmental justice, climate justice, environmental law, cultural resources protection, Native American concerns, and affordable housing. A committed advocate for environmental justice, Dr. Bergeron serves as Vice-Chair of the Environmental Justice Committee at the American Bar Association. In this capacity, she contributes to developing and promoting policies and programming that address the intersectionality of environmental and social issues. She further serves as the editor of Preservation Education & Research and sits on the editorial board of the American Bar Association's Human Rights Magazine.
