Eric Bucholz, Ph.D.

Eric received his B.S. in Ceramic and Materials Engineering at Clemson University (2007). From then, he secured an M.S. (2009) and Ph.D. (2012) in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida.
Following his academic career, he spent the next 6 years as a postdoctoral research scholar developing expertise in computational simulations and data analysis. His postdoctoral work began in the Thermal Protection Materials Branch at the NASA Ames Research Center and then moved to the Materials Science Engineering department at North Carolina State University.
In 2019, Eric transitioned to the Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO) at the University of Kentucky as the Research Systems Business Analyst. In this role, he became an expert in the OnCore Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS).
2022 marked the start of Eric's tenure as the Research Systems Administrator in the CRSO. In this important role, he manages the daily system administration activities, offering technical support and resolving issues for the enterprise. Through his career experience and dedication to scientific research, he is an asset to the Clinical Research Support Office.
