CCTS Clinical Research Update Series

Customer-Led Advarra Training Initiative

The Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO) is leading a customer-driven initiative to convene Trainers and Professional Development specialists from Advarra customer organizations.

This collaboration was established to connect professionals who share similar roles and responsibilities, facilitate mutual learning and collectively enhance training and professional development practices across institutions. With representation from nine universities and research centers, this group represents a valuable national network of expertise and professional practice.

As a customer-led initiative, this collaboration affords greater freedom to propose topics, share practical experience and explore innovative approaches that directly inform day-to-day responsibilities. The initiative is fully coordinated with Advarra, ensuring strategic alignment, shared insight, and structured opportunities to contribute collective recommendations toward future enhancements.

This initiative will contribute to:

  1. Enhanced national recognition of UK CRSO
  2. Meaningful professional development for all participants
  3. Improved training and professional development outcomes across member organizations

Not every process is necessary for every study. The below decision tree is intended to help identify which processes are needed for your specific study and includes links with instructions on how to complete each specific process. If you are unsure if your study requires a specific step, please contact the CRSO at CRSOstudyassist@uky.edu for additional assistance.
