Bioinformatics and Computational biology
Intro
Modern techniques for analyzing biological specimens produce large amounts of data describing gene expression, genome sequences, molecular structures, and molecular interactions. Researchers in the field of bioinformatics develop methods and tools to manage and make meaning of this data. Computational biologists use this data to better understand living systems, while researchers in translational bioinformatics apply these insights to efforts to improve human health.
