Shana came to PDO with proposal development expertise spanning federal and foundation grants for international/ area studies and education outreach after a seven-year tenure at the UK Asia Center. Her work was instrumental to founding of the UK Confucius Institute in 2010 and in funding programs in agricultural and fine arts in previous roles at the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh and the Community Farm Alliance in Frankfort, Kentucky. She has provided proposal development and/or project management services to UK researchers on early career proposals, standard research grants, and complex grant proposals. In addition to those roles, she has primary agency responsibility for NSF and international opportunities.
