Ben Southworth, B.A.

Ben earned a bachelor’s degree in arts administration from the University of Kentucky and subsequently worked in the nonprofit sector for a decade with responsibilities for nonprofit administration, grant writing, fundraising, and grants management. Prior to joining the Proposal Development Office, he served as executive director of a state nonprofit working to reduce food insecurity and food waste. His experience involves the development and successful funding of several multi-year proposals to local and regional funders, as well as service as a grant reviewer for the US Department of Agriculture. Ben’s primary agency responsibilities include the National Institutes of Health, focusing on infectious and cardiovascular disease, as well as several private foundations.
