The Administrative Staff Officer manages the Research Support Program commitments for the Vice President of Research, including startup, enrichment, research support grants, service center pilot grants, research professorships, major and minor equipment grants, cost-sharing commitments, bridge funding, student and training grants, lease commitments, Centers and Institutes awards, university wide commitments, and other support grants.  This position oversees all fiscal activities of the Research Service Centers.  This includes the operating and the renewal and replacement accounts of these 14 centers.  In addition, this position assists the Associate Vice Presidents and the Area Fiscal Officer with policy development, implementation and evaluation.
