Jaime Warren Fernandez is a Commercialization Manager for UK Innovate. Jaime manages UK’s Health Sciences portfolio, working with UK innovators to develop commercialization strategies that optimize and maximize the benefits and long-term impact of technologies. Additionally, Jaime builds sustainable relationships with internal and external partners and university collaborators while actively identifying opportunities for UK innovations.

Previously, Jaime was a Senior Licensing Officer at the University of Missouri–Kansas City’s Tech Commercialization department (UMKC), where he oversaw invention disclosure, patent protection/prosecution, and invention licensing. Prior to his role at UMKC, Jaime worked in the tech sector overseeing business optimization, product development, and change management endeavors within various high-tech, startup, and government entities, including Apple, Philips Sonicare, Microsoft, NASA, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Jaime holds a JD (emphasis in Tech Law & Entrepreneurship) from UMKC, an MS in Integrated Product Design (Mechanical Engineering, combined with the Wharton School of Business and Weitzman School of Design) from the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Telecommunications Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
