The annual event offers attendees an opportunity to learn about the innovative work of faculty, alumni and community startups. Keynote speakers Elaine and Myron Jacobson will receive the Lee T. Todd Lifetime Achievement Award for Entrepreneurship. The co-founders of Niadyne Pharma have worked as a research team for nearly 50 years.

"We need stronger and more united NMR capabilities at UK and securing funding for this new state-of-the-art NMR instrument is a first step toward achieving this important goal," Garneau-Tsodikova said.

UK's Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC), on behalf of UK Research Foundation (UKRF), was awarded a three-year $600,000 grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) Build to Scale Program, one of 52 projects funded from 36 states.
