The talk, “Quantum Computing and the Entanglement Frontier,” will take place 4:15 p.m. Friday, April 6, in the Jacobs Science Building auditorium. The talk is jointly sponsored by the UK Department of Physics and Astronomy, the UK Department of Computer Science and the UK Graduate School.

The research of UK faculty members Keh-Fei Liu and Terry Draper and postdoctoral researcher Yi-Bo Yang and their collaborators was featured.

The team hopes to observe violations of time reversal symmetry in outer space, which would indicate the laws of physics behave differently when the arrow of time runs “forward” versus “backward."
