The University of Kentucky Office of Undergraduate Research recently honored four professors for their dedication to mentoring with the Excellent Undergraduate Research Mentor Award.
The high-impact learning experience contributes to student academic growth as well as sustainability-focused research initiatives at UK and in the community.
The University of Kentucky Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) is honored to announce that 20 undergraduates have been selected for the 2023 Commonwealth Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) Fellowship program.
Four students have been offered Fulbright U.S. Student Program scholarships to travel abroad to teach, study or pursue research for the 2023-24 academic year.
Ten students and five alumni were selected to receive government-funded National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowships. In addition, one graduate student and one alumna received honorable mention recognition from the NSF.
This year’s Showcase of Undergraduate Scholars is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, in the Gatton Student Center Grand Ballroom, and features 500 students and 330 presentations representing 66 disciplines and 18 colleges.
Two undergraduates have been selected as recipients of the University of Kentucky’s Beckman Scholars Program, titled Scholars United by Chemistry: Cultivating Excellence through Science Stewardship (SUCCESS).
