Colleges across UK’s campus have received funds through the Office of Undergraduate Research to host summer programs where students can further their knowledge and skills in a specific discipline–or explore new areas of research and creative activity.

Students Participating as Ambassadors for Research in Kentucky (SPARK) gives an introduction to health equity research to students from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in research.

Ten undergraduate researchers have been chosen to present research at the 2022 Posters-at-the-Capitol event on March 3 at the Kentucky state capitol in Frankfort.

The new undergraduate opportunity provides a path for UK to advocate for and ensure the inclusion of a diverse population of students pursuing mentored research in designated Research Priority Areas (RPAs).

The prestigious, invite-only program for top-tier research institutions provides a 15-month mentored research experience for exceptional undergraduate students in chemistry, biological sciences and associated interdisciplinary combinations.

The Martin Luther King Center, along with units across campus, will celebrate Black History Month with a series virtual and in-person events and programs throughout February. 

Applications are now open for the University of Kentucky Office of Undergraduate Research’s Sustainability Summer Research Fellowships.
