Congratulations to Juan for successfully renewing his National Institutes of Health (NIH) Loan Repayment Program (LRP) award for 2022-23! The NIH LRPs were established by Congress and are designed “to recruit and retain highly qualified health professionals into biomedical or biobehavioral research careers.” Since advanced education and training is often costly, the NIH LRPs repay qualified educational debt for awardees in return for their continued commitment to doing NIH mission-relevant research.
