Why ASK?

The Council meets with research groups to provide translational advice and real-world, practice-based perspectives on study development & design; recruitment and/or dissemination plans; other quality improvement or implementation ideas or plans to address public service needs or advocacy goals.

Gain access to a diverse group of health service professionals throughout Kentucky’s rural areas and urban centers with a breadth of experience working with persons who use drugs.

Who is the ASK?

  • Medical directors and physicians from primary care and psychiatry with addiction specialty
  • Recovery coaches, peer support program leaders and bridge clinic administrators, and community health syringe service professionals
  • Former county mental health court and others with expertise on substance use policy

Many bring their own lived experience

How do I ask for the ASK?

Researchers are encouraged to apply to visit an upcoming ASK Council meeting!

The Council is FREE and meets quarterly
