The UK Center for Clinical and Translational Science invites abstracts and mentor award nominations for its 20th annual Spring Conference, April 1 at Central Bank Center in Lexington. The theme of this year’s conference is “Pioneering Pathways: Innovative Trial Design in Translational Science.” As always, the conference is free to attend and lunch is provided. 

Each year, hundreds of researchers, clinicians, staff, students and community members attend our conference to share research and foster collaborations aimed at improving health.

The CCTS Conference also hosts Research Days for the UK Colleges of Dentistry, Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing and Public Health; the Institute for Biomedical Informatics; and the Department of Internal Medicine. 

Call for Abstracts

CCTS is now accepting abstracts for poster and oral presentations for the CCTS conference and affiliated Research Days. Abstracts don’t need to align with the conference theme.  

The deadline to submit abstracts is 5 p.m. EST, Feb. 5.

Call for Mentor Recognition Awards

CCTS is also accepting nominations for the Research Mentor Recognition Awards in Clinical and Translational Science. Mentorship can be a defining variable in someone’s training and career but often goes under-recognized. This award honors outstanding mentors who make impactful contributions to their mentees’ success in clinical and translational science. Only UK faculty members are eligible for this award. Mentor Awards will be presented during the Awards Ceremony at the CCTS Spring Conference from 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

The deadline to nominate mentors is Feb. 10.
