ORI Office Hours

Investigators, research staff, and/or students are encouraged to drop in with questions about ongoing research, developing research projects, the E-IRB system, and general IRB operations. A variety of staff from the ORI will be available to answer questions and provide in-person support. Both medical and non-medical researchers are welcome to attend.

Calendar Clinical Research Update (CRU)

The UK Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) presents a series of programs
designed to keep staff updated on good clinical practice guidelines, to present tools and resources for successful clinical trial management, and to provide opportunities for networking and team building.

The target audience includes research coordinators, staff, and investigators directly involved in conducting clinical trials.

Schedule Research Ethics Lecture Series The UK Program for Bioethics is responsible for bioethics education and consultation to the UK HealthCare clinical enterprise. The Program for Bioethics presents the Research Ethics Lecture Series monthly September through November and February through April each year. This series is also endorsed by the UK Markey Cancer Center and the UK Center for Clinical and Translational Science. Presentations are open to anyone on campus.
Fall 2025 Schedule Markey Research Seminars

The UK Markey Cancer Center sponsors the Markey Research Seminar, a weekly, continuing-education series, on Wednesdays from Noon - 12:50 p.m. Open to all, these sessions welcome internal and external cancer researchers who share their expertise and highlight their work and research.  

University of Kentucky community members can sign up to receive notices of upcoming speakers and lecture titles by contacting Markey Events, and requesting to be added to the Markey events email list.

Markey Research Seminars are held in the William R. Willard Medical Education Building, Room 263 (MN263) or the Healthy Kentucky Research Building, Room 150 (HKRB 150). (Unless noted otherwise, there is no virtual option.)
