Under the oversight of the Associate Vice President for Research Integrity, SECURE is responsible for the University of Kentucky’s compliance for research projects in the areas of export controls, research security, conflict of interest, conflict of commitment and cybersecurity.

CITI Research Security Training due Oct 1

To comply with National Security Presidential Memorandum 33 and the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, all investigators currently engaged in research on a federally funded award or submitting a federally funded proposal are required to complete research security training by October 1, 2025.

NSF Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Certification

The CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 prohibits participation in malign foreign talent recruitment programs while receiving federal funding. To confirm compliance with this requirement, NSF requires each PI certify their lack of participation in such a program.
