Under the oversight of the Associate Vice President for Research Integrity, SECURE is responsible for the University of Kentucky’s compliance for research projects in the areas of export controls, research security, conflict of interest and conflict of commitment.

New mandatory SECURE research security training for UK graduate research assistants and postdocs covers data protection, cybersecurity and compliance.

Annual Research Security Training Required for Federally Funded Research

Researchers seeking funding from NSF, NIH, DOE, USDA or NASA must complete UK's CITI research security training within 12 months of proposal submission, DOD plans to require the training in the future.
