Extension of Administrative Relief for Recipients and Applicants of Federal Financial Assistance Directly Impacted by COVID-19

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) initially provided flexibilities allowing Federal agencies to grant administrative, financial and audit requirement flexibilities to recipients of Federal awards. Most of those flexibilities expired on June 16, 2020 (for M-20-17 and M-20-20) and July 26, 2020 (for M-20-11). The recent extension in 

DLAR Resources and Use of Space

Animal Orders have increased over 300% in the last week and we have seen a considerable increase in research personnel working in DLAR. With the limitations on the number of people that can be in a room it is important to reserve rooms for critical needs.

IACUC Inspections to Resume

As per guidance from the National Institutes of Health Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (NIH OLAW), the University of Kentucky is expected to conduct previously postponed site inspections as soon as the IACUC can safely do so. Site inspections will resume in accordance with Phase 3 guidelines as established by the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR). PIs and/or animal facility area supervisors will be contacted by email to determine the best days and times for an inspection. Inspection details will be discussed at that time.
