Friday High-Five with PDO: Finding Funding: Strategies and Approaches

This session will present available tools, resources, strategies and helpful tips for finding suitable funding opportunities for your research.   This is part of "Friday High-Five with PDO," the Proposal Development Office's new weekly workshop series. Every Friday at 11:00 a.m. PDO shares up-to-date guidance, advice, and tips for developing competitive grant proposals. Each session will consist of a 30-minute training followed by 15-minute dedicated Q&A. You will learn five key takeaways to help your proposal writing and development.

In this session, we'll explore options for funding biomedical research through the Department on Defense, including the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP), the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC), and other ongoing programs.

In this session, we’ll introduce and explore how to apply practical project management tools and approaches to streamline proposal development, strengthen team collaboration, and ensure the timely submission of competitive, high-quality proposals.   

Friday High-Five with PDO: Medical Nonprofit Funding

This session will spotlight major nonprofit organizations that fund biomedical research, including the American Cancer Society (ACS) and the American Heart Association (AHA). We’ll give advice and special considerations for applying to these funders.
