Get to know our office and the array of services and resources we offer to UK investigators seeking grants.   Presented by Lou Hurst and Jeff Haines.   This is part of "Friday High-Five with PDO," the Proposal Development Office's weekly workshop series. On Fridays at 11:00 a.m. PDO shares up-to-date guidance, advice, and tips for developing competitive grant proposals. Each session will consist of a 30-minute training followed by a 15-minute dedicated Q&A. You will learn five key takeaways to help your proposal writing and development.

NIH Current and Pending (Other Support): SciENcv and UK Data Tools

This session provides NIH-required training on Current and Pending (Other Support) documents. We will walk through how to use UK Tableau reports to gather the required data and how to create and update Current and Pending Support documents in SciENcv for proposals, just-in-time requests, and progress reports (RPPRs). The session will also cover how to add and manage delegates in SciENcv and outline CGS’s review process.   Presenters: 

Navigating the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy at UK

The NIH’s Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Policy, which went into effect in January 2023, has established new requirements for grant applicants to put forward a plan explaining how their research data will be made accessible to other researchers and the public. At this session, Research Data Librarian Isaac Wink will cover the major elements of the policy researchers need to know and provide guidance on writing successful data management and sharing plans.
