Machine Learning: A Light Introduction

Are you interested in learning more about machine learning but aren't sure where to get started? Join UK Libraries to familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of machine learning along with how to implement some basic models in Python using scikit-learn. The first half of this session will introduce core concepts in machine learning, including supervised vs. unsupervised learning, types of models, and metrics for evaluating model performance. The second half will focus on how to apply some of these concepts in Python.

REDCap Training Series: Intermediate

This training is designed for REDCap users who already know how to navigate the program and create a basic survey.    Objectives:   -Become familiar with arrangement of projects and set up in REDCap   -Create a multi-survey project   -Understand E-Consent and IRB considerations   -Use REDCap reports and reporting features  

Friday High-Five with PDO: Spotlight on CDMRP

This session will focus on the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) and its role in UK’s funding landscape. We’ll also look at other pathways to funding biomedical research through the Department of Defense. Presented by Lou Hurst.

CRSO’s Open Office Hours

Research investigators and staff are encouraged to come to the Clinical Research Support Office's (CRSO) weekly office hours with questions about any of the research technologies that are administered and supported by the CRSO. These include: OnCore CTMS  Advarra eSource + EDC Advarra eREG Members of the CRSO’s Research Systems Management and Education (RSME) team will be available to answer questions and provide in-person support.

PsycINFO Essentials

PsycINFO is a comprehensive database produced by the American Psychological Association that serves as a premier resource for the behavioral and social sciences. This workshop introduces key features of PsycINFO for effective searching. Participants will learn how to build a search in PsycINFO using features including subject terms, field codes, limits, and other features.

HDI Seminar Series: The Individualized Education Program (IEP): Effectively Writing & Implementing an IEP

The Human Development Institute's Seminar Series provides interactive seminars on current topics relevant to people with disabilities, families, and professionals. Seminars are broadcast live via the Zoom webinar platform, enabling participants to join online through the live video stream.
