"I Thought This Was Supposed To Save Us Time”: Implementing an AI-Driven Analytic Framework in Biomedical Research

Despite their novelty, AI systems have become not only the ultimate multitool in a researcher’s kit, but a profound thought partner in generating ideas, implementing analytic methods, and crafting presentation materials. When carrying out clinical and translational research, effective collaboration with AI can be encompassed clearly using Anthropic’s 4D Framework: Delegation, Description, Discernment, and Diligence. However, implementing this framework can lead to more meta-scientific and epistemic questions than practical answers.
