Bringing Back the Forest: Ecological Restoration Provides Opportunities for Mining Regions of the World

Urban Forest Initiative is excited to be joined for our September Seminar by Dr. Chris Barton, Professor of Forest Hydrology & Watershed Management at UK. Dr. Barton also the Founder & President of Green Forests Work, an organization that works throughout Appalachia, as well as Australia, to restore formerly mined sites. As the organization's website says, since 2009 Green Forests Work has planted more than 7.5 million trees on over 15,000 acres.

4th Thursday ADA Talks: ADA Title II for PDFs and Basic Accessibility Techniques

Learn how to meet accessibility requirements for digital documents under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This presentation will cover the essentials of making PDF files accessible, including document setup, tagging basics, and common remediation techniques.
