William R. Martin Lecture Series: Dr. Lotte Bjerre Knudsen

The Department of Pharmacology and Nutritional Sciences Graduate Student Executive Board is hosting the 2024 Lasker-DeBakey Awardee, Dr. Lotte Bjerre Knudsen to give a seminar on Monday, November 3, at 12 PM in the Todd building, room 152 as a part of the William R. Martin Lecture Series. 

The Lasker DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award is given for outstanding breakthroughs that contribute to improved clinical treatment of patients and is often considered the "shortlist" for a Nobel Prize. Dr. Knudsen will be speaking on her work regarding the development of GLP-1 for the treatment of diabetes and obesity ("GLP-1: Lessons Learned and New Horizons for Therapeutic Innovation").
