Friday High-Five with PDO: The “Small Rs” of NIH

NIH funds smaller-scale research projects through several mechanisms including the R03, R21, R61/R33, and R18. Presenting examples from successfully funded projects at UK, we’ll discuss how to frame the appropriate scope and aims for these mechanisms, address common misconceptions, and offer tips for success. HDI Seminar Series: Demystifying Autism Diagnosis

The Human Development Institute's Seminar Series provides interactive seminars on current topics relevant to people with disabilities, families, and professionals. Seminars are broadcast live via the Zoom webinar platform, enabling participants to join online through the live video stream. 2026 Kentucky Tobacco Control Conference

The 2026 Kentucky Tobacco Control Conference, Reclaiming the Future: Charting a New Path Forward The conference will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Brian King, Executive Vice President of U.S. Programs for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. Dr. King has worked for over 20 years to provide sound scientific evidence to inform tobacco control policy, including in his previous roles as the director of the Center for Tobacco Products at the FDA and deputy director for research translation in the Office on Smoking and Health at the CDC.
