Lowering the Barrier to Evidence: How RADOR-KY Empowers Data-Informed Decision Making

The Rapid Actionable Data for Opioid Response in Kentucky (RADOR-KY) system uses a wide variety of data to paint a more complete picture of the state of the opioid epidemic - and efforts to mitigate its impacts - in Kentucky. In this lecture, Dr. Hammerslag will discuss RADOR-KY’s development process, focusing on the role of user-informed design principles in guiding how we share data. She will provide a walkthrough of RADOR-KY’s public dashboards, highlighting how the system’s behavior encourages best practices in data interpretation.

2026 UNITE Research Showcase

UNITE is excited to host the 2026 UNITE Research Showcase on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Gatton Student Center. The UNITE Research Priority Area is a university-wide initiative designed to bring together groups of investigators, trainees and colleges with a focus on impactful research. Through the support of the UK Office of the Vice President for Research, the RPA hosts a dynamic showcase to elevate research vital to the Commonwealth of Kentucky. 

Communities of Practice: Training Innovation Project (TIP)

Communities of Practice (COP) are groups of people who come together because they care about improving employment opportunities for people with disabilities.Members share ideas, solve problems, build skills, and create practical tools that support competitive integrated employment.   The COP is meant to grow naturally over time and will eventually be led by its members, giving participants the chance to shape discussions and activities aroundwhat matters most to them and their work.

20th Annual Showcase of Undergraduate Scholars

The 20th annual Showcase will bring together more than 500 undergraduates from all disciplines, their faculty mentors and members of the community. During the award ceremony, four outstanding faculty mentors will be recognized. The student-nominated award is presented to UK research faculty mentors for their commitment to mentoring undergraduate researchers, providing exceptional experiences for students and supporting undergraduate research initiatives on campus.
