Introduction to Narrative Reviews

This workshop introduces narrative reviews as a method for summarizing and synthesizing scholarly literature. Participants will learn what defines a narrative review, when it is an appropriate approach, and how to complete one by identifying a topic, searching for relevant literature, organizing sources, and clearly presenting findings.

How to do a Basic Literature Review

Literature reviews play an important role in medical literature. They are a required part of many dissertations, are often assigned as coursework, and can be published articles. The workshop teaches the key aspects and necessary steps of completing a basic literature review. It also discusses different kinds of literature reviews and their purposes.

Tomocube Informational Seminar

Brian Templin from Tomocube will be hosting an informational seminar about their holotomography imaging technology prior to an on campus demonstration the week of April 20th. Holotomography will be of interest to those investigators working with non-transgenic animal models and primary human cells where it allows for label-free live-imaging at sub-cellular levels. The real advantage is that it does not require fluorescent labeling of the cells or organelles.
