Goldstein also is co-director of the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute, co-director of the UK Neuroscience Research Priority Area and interim director of the UK-Norton Healthcare Stroke Care Network. Goldstein’s two-year term on the board of directors begins later this month.

Katherine Thompson, a UK faculty member in the Department of Statistics and UK HealthCare patient, is thankful to UK HealthCare for saving her life after a diagnosis of infective endocarditis earlier this year.

Racism has long defined health and well-being in our state and the country. Recent events have exacerbated a complex ecosystem framing health inequities nationally. Alumna Sydney Clark never allowed her disability to stop her from achieving her goals: attending and graduating from the University of Kentucky. Now Clark, along with a team of dedicated faculty and staff, are looking to expand access for students who are blind or vision impaired.
