NIH SciENcv Biosketch Guidance

You may have heard about recent changes to the certificate used by SciENcv to certify NIH biosketches. NIH has indicated that previously certified documents remain valid. However, guidance is still evolving.

Collaborative Grant Services (CGS) recommends generating and certifying a new SciENcv biosketch for any NIH application if the biosketch was generated before Sept. 18, 2026.

If your Grant Specialist reaches out regarding updated documents, please provide those materials to them as soon as possible. For questions about your specific submission, please contact your assigned Grant Specialist.
