Ruchi brings more than seven years of experience in clinical and academic research, with a background spanning patient-facing clinical trials, research administration, regulatory oversight, and sponsored research. Her clinical sub-specialties have included hepatology, ophthalmology, pulmonary and critical care, infectious diseases, emergency medicine, and patient safety research. She holds a Master of Jurisprudence in Health and Hospital Law from Seton Hall University. Her interdisciplinary background at the intersection of health law, policy, and clinical research has been invaluable throughout her career, strengthening her ability to navigate the regulatory, operational, and compliance considerations of research.
Prior to joining the University of Kentucky, Ruchi worked across clinical research and research administration, developing a strong understanding of the research lifecycle – from study start-up and regulatory requirements through study management and financial administration, supporting both investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored studies. At UKY, she brings this clinical research perspective to research finance, supporting investigators in the integrative and efficient management of research funding.
