UK eIRB to OnCore integration for researchers launches Dec. 3

The Clinical Research Support Office will launch a new integration between UK eIRB and OnCore on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at noon. The system will automatically create approved Initial Reviews (IRs), Continuation Reviews (CRs), Modification Reviews (MRs) and closure records in OnCore, with updates transmitted hourly between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. While the integration will streamline processes, protocol managers and regulatory coordinators will still need to enter certain IRB-related data in OnCore.

The update is expected to significantly reduce manual data entry, improve the accuracy and timeliness of regulatory documentation, and enhance connectivity across the university’s research technology systems. Although the integration minimizes manual IRB review entry, it does not eliminate all data entry requirements.
