Ph.D. Research Fueled by National Physical Therapy Scholarship

This summer Kirby Mayer, a Ph.D. candidate in the UK College of Health Sciences, got a prestigious $15,000 research scholarship. By improving classification of ICU-acquired weakness, Mayer hopes to improve how and when physical therapists implement interventions.

Center for Excellence in Rural Health Releases Appalachian Research Day Agenda

UK Center of Excellence in Rural Health has released the full agenda for the fourth annual Appalachian Research Day, "Come Sit on the Porch." The event shares results of health research conducted with communities in Appalachia and will be held Wednesday, April 18 at the First Federal Center in Hazard.

The fourth annual Appalachian Research Day will be April 18 at the UK Center of Excellence in Rural Health in Hazard. Abstracts to be considered for poster presentations are due March 12 and registration is due April 6.
