Objectives

  • Understand where AI can support the drug discovery pipeline, from target identification and molecular modeling to compound prioritization.
  • Identify freely available data resources and AI-enabled tools that can support drug discovery research.
  • Explore practical examples of tools for protein structure prediction, molecular docking, compound databases, and AI-assisted drug discovery.
  • Recognize the strengths and limitations of current AI approaches and where experimental validation remains essential.
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate AI and computational tools into their own drug discovery research.
