Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies presents Tonics & Toxins: Plants and Power in Latin America

The two-day event includes an opening keynote by Avery Dickins de Girón (Vanderbilt University) and closing keynote by Rachel Laudan, as well as roundtables with scholars from fields including entomology, horticulture, sociology, anthropology, microbiology, and more.

The symposium concludes with an ethnobotanical walking tour and reception at The Arboretum with Native Plant Collections Curator Dr. Megan Buland.
