FindHelpNow is a near-real-time substance use disorder treatment locator created by the University of Kentucky College of Public Health’s Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center (KIPRC).

The University of Kentucky is hosting its fifth annual Substance Use Research Event (SURE) April 24 in the UK Gatton Student Center. This free event showcases translational research conducted at UK focusing on substance use and substance use disorder.

Since 2002, colorectal cancer screenings have doubled in Kentucky, which has led to a more than 30% decrease in incidence and mortality rates.

Sally Ellingson, Ph.D. is an assistant professor at the Institute for Biomedical Informatics and also works with the Cancer Research Informatics Shared Resource Facility at the Markey Cancer Center.

This year's event will be held in person April 5, 2023, at the Ramada by Wyndham Hotel and Conference Center in Paintsville, Kentucky.

Sarah Dorpinghaus is the director of Digital Strategies and Technologies at UK Libraries. She is a trained archivist helping communities protect their history and focuses on digital collections and their underlying technology systems.

On Tuesday, April 18, the University of Kentucky College of Social Work will hold the 21st Annual Irma Sarett Rosenstein Lecture. This year's event will take place at 8:30 a.m. in the Gatton Student Center Grand Ballroom.
