Center for Health Equity Transformation's 5-year anniversary celebration

The celebration will include a keynote from Cynthia Rogers, MD, Professor of Psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, as well as  remarks from Myles Moody, PhD, Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and CHET GRA alum, and Vivian Lasley-Bibbs, MPH,  the Director of the Kentucky Department for Public Health Office of Health Equity. There will be opportunities to network and connect with colleagues. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served.

WIMS Day 2023

Join us for WIMS Day! Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023 Noon to 5:30 p.m. Healthy Kentucky Research Building 150/Atrium  This event will feature a keynote by Dr. Mary Dankoski at noon, both virtually and in-person. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.  Following the keynote, there will be an interactive workshop on professional development between 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. (In-person only) At 3:30 p.m., WIMS 2022 Booster Award winners will present their research. Kentucky Geological Survey Earth Week Open House

The Kentucky Geological Survey (KGS) is hosting its annual open house in celebration of Earth Science Week on Wednesday, October 11 from 6:00-7:30pm. KGS, along with the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences (EES) and other organizations, will set up displays, exhibits, and interactive demonstrations on a wide range of geoscience topics.     This event is free and open to the public. K-12 students, parents, teachers, and those interested in geoscience are encouraged to attend.
